Custom Consoles to launch SystemTwo - Lite motorised workstations at IBC 2009

Custom Consoles announces the first of two major new additions to its range of broadcast and post-production studio furniture. SystemTwo - Lite, to be launched at IBC 2009 in September, is a single-surface electrically height-adjustable desk designed specifically for use with flat screen monitors.
"The original SystemTwo desk has been one of our flagship products since its introduction nine years ago," comments Custom Consoles' Commercial Director Graham Buchanan. "It was designed to accommodate CRT-based Grade One picture monitors as well as flat-panel monitors on an optional second shelf above the main workdesk. Most post-production companies now use flat-panel monitors which are much lighter in weight and more space-efficient in terms of front-to-back depth. A natural progression of the earlier design, SystemTwo - Lite has an integral rear shelf which accept up to three adjustable monitor mounts providing scope for a variety of screen layouts. SystemTwo will remain in production as its dual-shelf configuration is still in demand for holding auxiliary equipment."
At the touch of a button, SystemTwo - Lite can be adjusted in height between 660 and 1,200 mm, enabling operators to vary their seated or standing posture throughout the working day. An electronic anti-collision sensor safeguards the desk if it comes into contact with an adjacent object during height adjustment. The desk has a 2,000 by 900 mm footprint and curved corners with PVC edging. SystemTwo - Lite incorporates a wood finish with a hard-wearing Marmoleum dual-coloured work surface. Other finishes are available on request. Additional features include four front-facing worktop-mounted USB ports, five individually fused mains sockets and and two rear-facing RJ45 adapters.
SystemTwo - Lite is available with an optional matching 840 x 750 mm 13 U stabilised pedestal, a PC mounting kit and a 27 U equipment storage bay (610 x 810 mm footprint). A 27 U quiet bay with glazed front door, rear fan unit and temperature indicator are also available; this has a 610 x 885 mm footprint.
The entire SystemTwo - Lite range conforms to BS EN ISO9241-5 ergonomic standards, BS EN527-1 dimensional specifications, BS 6396 cable management and BS 4875/6/7 structural integrity standards.
Built at Custom Consoles' UK manufacturing facility, the SystemTwo - Lite range is available with typical lead times of seven to 10 working days.
