Custom Consoles announces the completion of a security control furniture system for Middlesex University's Hendon campus in north London. The installation includes an eight-bay in-line Module R desk facing a 4 metre wide Media Wall flat-panel display mount which in turn supports eight 32 inch LCD monitor screens.

Six Ergotron monitor arms are mounted at the rear of the Module R desk, each supporting a 19 inch LCD monitor. The desk is finished in steamed beach with a grey Marmoleum worktop. Six equipment pods in standard 19 inch rack configuration are located at floor level below the Media Wall, finished to match the desk. Each pod can accommodate up to 8 U of ancillary equipment.

"I visited Custom Consoles' headquarters in Leighton Buzzard and was favourably impressed by the versatility of the Module-R system," comments security consultant Peter Purnell who commissioned the new installation on behalf of Middlesex University. The high standard of workmanship Custom Consoles achieves was evident throughout its product range. The entire furniture system was installed within four weeks of order."

"We are very gratified by the sustained popularity and success of Module-R both in the security and process-control sectors," adds Gary Fuller, Sales Manager at Custom Consoles. "It enables us to meet almost any furniture system specification from a standard range of modules without introducing the delays and expense associated with bespoke design."

Middlesex University is an international provider of higher education with an outstanding academic credential. Its history began in the late 1880s with the foundation of St Katherine's College and the Hornsey School of Arts and Crafts.
