Custom Consoles reports buoyant IFSEC2007

Custom Consoles, Britain's most successful manufacturer of security and process-control furniture, reports a buoyant and dynamic IFSEC2007 exhibition. This year's event saw UK and international visitor numbers rise, strengthening IFSEC's position as a major security industry show. Two major additions to Custom Consoles' range of security furniture were introduced at the show: the MediaOne control desk and the modular M Desk Technical range. An enhanced version of the innovative Media Wall modular monitor mounting system was also displayed.
"IFSEC once again attracted a good mix of clients, potential customers and resellers from Britain and overseas," comments Custom Consoles' Sales Director Gary Fuller. "The security industry is increasingly aware of the benefits that derive from careful furniture selection, both in terms of value for money and in staff efficiency. Ergonomics are becoming increasingly important given the amount of time many people spend in front of computer workstations.
"Our new M Desk Technical allows bespoke security furniture to be configured quickly from a range of accessibly-priced standard modules. These include equipment pedestals and free-standing desktop pods. M Desk Technical is ideal for PC-based security and process control rooms as it allows ergonomically-efficient working environments to be configured quickly for large or small control rooms. Three-layer horizontal cable ducting is incorporated throughout the entire desk. The legs are our proven M Desk aluminium extrusions with integral cable management.
"We also showed the new MediaOne control desk which combines height-adjustability and ultra-modern styling. Optimised for space-saving flat-screen computer monitors, MediaOne incorporates a retractable telescopic handle which operators can use to select their preferred desktop height.
"The latest version of our Media Wall system also received a very positive response. It provides a stable housing for large or small arrays of flat-panel monitors and ancillary equipment. Media Wall employs height-adjustable horizontal beams suspended between 2,000 mm high silver-anodised aluminium supports. The beams can be supplied in 1.5, 2 and 2.5 metre widths with the optional of coupling multiple units to create very large-scale monitor walls. Pivoting VESA and plasma-mount fittings can be attached quickly and reliably."
