Custom Consoles reports successful IFSEC 2006
May 31, 2006CUSTOM CONSOLES REPORTS SUCCESSFUL IFSEC 2006 Custom Consoles, Europe's leading manufacturer of specialised furniture for security applications, reports a highly successful IFSEC 2006. "We were impressed by the number of visitors to our booth and by their serious interest in the security furniture we were showing," observes Gary Fuller, Custom Consoles' Sales Manager. "IFSEC has proved to be genuinely international in the attendance it attracts, no doubt because of the National Exhibition Centre's easy accessibility for attendees arriving by air. Around half the visitors to our stand were from overseas, including many from the Middle East. We received many referrals from other exhibitors who were using our furniture on their booths. Custom Consoles will certainly be back at IFSEC next year." Launched at IFSEC 2006, Custom Consoles' Media Wall is designed for the new generation of LCDs and plasma-panels which are increasingly replacing bulky CRT picture displays in traffic monitoring and security surveillance systems. Media Wall enables display grids of almost unlimited size to be installed quickly and easily. The design centres on height-adjustable horizontal beams suspended between 2,000 mm high silver-anodised aluminium supports. The beams are available in 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 mm widths, structured to allow easy attachment of large and small panels using pivoting VESA and plasma-mount fittings. Cable ducting is integral and floor-level equipment pods with 19 inch racking behind removable vented panels can be incorporated. In addition to Media Wall, Custom Consoles introduced enhancements to its Module-R range of furniture which allows control-room desks to be assembled to individual requirements from a range of high-quality pods, base sections, worktops, rear tops, end-panel modules and legs. Desk pods are available as single-bay sections with a choice of 3U, 6U or 8U chassis capacity. Cable management ducts are integrated into all desk sections. Also exhibited, Custom Consoles' Media Desk is height-adjustable between 650 and 900 mm or can be ordered in fixed height format if preferred. Media-Desk is available in a choice of colours together with an optional range of adjustable LCD monitor screen supports. Now in its 10th year, Custom Consoles (www.customconsoles.co.uk) manufactures a broad range of studio and technical-support furniture including motorised, manually adjustable and fixed-height units plus fan-cooled sound-insulated equipment housings. The company is active worldwide.
