Graham Buchanan joins Custom Consoles as Commercial Director

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Custom Consoles Ltd, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of technical control furniture, announces the expansion of its management team. Graham Buchanan has joined the company with effect from January 1 as Commercial Director, working alongside Managing Director Neil Reed, Sales Manager Gary Fuller and the 20-strong production staff at Custom Consoles’ headquarters in Leighton Buzzard.

Custom Consoles was co-founded by Graham and Neil in 1996, initially to produce studio furniture for ATG Spectrum which they jointly established in 1993. As Managing Director, Graham developed ATG Spectrum into ATG Broadcast, a highly successful systems integrator with clients in many countries.

“Graham will supervise day-to-day management of the company’s activities as we continue our expansion into new territories and a wider range of business sectors,” Neil Reed comments. “His relaxed and friendly style are appreciated by customers and colleagues alike and helped build ATG Broadcast into a major player both as an independent company and, since 2006, as a subsidiary of the Danmon Systems Group.”

“Custom Consoles furniture has won a very high reputation for the attractive design, ergonomic efficiency and structural robustness of its control desks and storage furniture,” adds Graham Buchanan. “Within a short time of Custom Consoles being established, it began to win orders from third-party broadcast systems integrators and later went on to achieve substantial sales of desks for industrial process control and multi-screen security television. The company’s early focus on studio requirements proved a good foundation for today’s largely IT-oriented world where efficient cable management, equipment ventilation and monitor display mounting are crucial to many contracts. My task will be to capitalise on these talents as we widen our market base.”

Founded in 1996, Custom Consoles Ltd is a UK-based independent manufacturer of broadcast, security and process-control furniture. The company operates from a 1,200 square metre production facility equipped with 3D computer-aided-design and computer-controlled cutting machinery. Custom Consoles has built its name in the development and manufacture of bespoke furniture for a client base that includes governmental and corporate organisations in Britain, mainland Europe and Asia. The product range includes motorised, manually-adjustable and fixed-height units plus fan-cooled sound-insulated equipment housings. Custom Consoles Ltd is active worldwide.
