Broadcast Furniture from Custom Consoles
Skai
Custom Consoles broadcast desks, monitor walls and supporting furniture
have been chosen as part of a system supplied to Greek television network
Skai. The order was placed by Sony Professional Services Europe as part
of a major systems-integration project and includes six custom-design
desks plus two Custom Consoles monitor stacks. Located in Athens, Skai
specialises in high-quality news reality and drama. It transmits on terrestrial
analogue UHF and is also receivable thoughout Europe via Hellasat 2 satellite.
Scottish Television
SMG, owner of broadcaster stv, has chosen Custom Consoles furniture for
a large-scale studio installation. The contract forms part of a major
investment in new technology at SMG's recently-competed state-of-the-art
headquarters in Glasgow's Pacific Quay.
TV4 Stockholm
The new studio and control room will themselves be open to public view behind a glass wall adjacent to the main reception area at TV4's Stockholm headquarters where they operates a 24-hour terrestrial and satellite transmission service. Furniture provided through ATG Broadcast.
Channel 4
Custom Consoles has completed the production
and installation of a large transmission control desk at Channel 4 Television's
Westminster headquarters.
Built to the network's specification, the desk is almost 5 metres in
width. It incorporates six 19 inch bays plus additional worksurface and
storage facilities at each end.
J13 Broadcast
J13 Broadcast has commissioned two Custom Consoles Module-R desks as part
of a major expansion at its production and transmission studios in Milton
Keynes. One of Britain's most innovative independent production and playout
companies, J13 provides a wide range of television origination and transmission
services delivered via Astra and Eurobird satellites.
