Technical Furniture
Custom Consoles has built its name in the design and manufacture of bespoke furniture to a client base that includes the BBC, Channel 4, Carlton, TV4 Sweden, and Sony. Due to ever increasing pressure on timescales and costs, Custom Consoles introduced Module R in 2006, a pick and mix solution to technical furniture. It is a dynamic product solution, continually evolving as the needs of our customers arise. Module R comes in a selection of finishes and can be delivered from stock in 10 to 15 days. The quality in design, ergonomics and finish has been recognised by industries such as Security, Air Traffic Control, Process Control and Network Monitoring. Clients include BT, The Armed Forces, Tyco, Scottish Television, The Home Office and Siemens.

SystemTwo and M Desk
System2 and M Desk are the two offerings of height adjustable furniture from Custom Consoles. Both systems have been developed in conjunction with FIRA (Furniture Industry Research Association) to ensure that all standard furniture from Custom Consoles meets with current European recommendations.

"In June 2000, Custom Consoles approached FIRA's Ergonomics Unit for guidance on how to ensure that their products comply with the latest European and British Health and Safety directives and regulations. Custom Consoles units are mainly used with media production equipment and this inevitably includes a large number of VDUs.

It is reassuring to see a responsible manufacturing company working towards compliance. Understanding and implementing Health and Safety regulations in this difficult area results in better working environments for users who subsequently work more efficiently and safely.

A vigorous testing and ergonomics evaluation programme was devised by FIRA to check compliance with the current Health and Safety Regulations.

System2 height adjustable twin desking system was tested to the appropriate British and European standards for structure, cable management and ergonomics. In addition a full ergonomics evaluation of the System2 was carried out by FIRA's Ergonomics Unit.

After all in today’s office we all need desking to ensure that our workstation fits with our work tasks and after all, people do not come in one size, so M Desk is aimed at the office workplace to allow users to obtain the correct fit, whether for a dedicated workstation or a hot desk.

Along with the desk systems a variety of associated products are available within the Mdesk range such as monitor arms, storage systems and chairs.
